Doug Aitken: UNDER THE SUN at Art House, Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre
At Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre Art House in Mumbai, artist Doug Aitken created a towering 6-meter-high, 6-meter-diameter light sculpture—an abstracted planet, a luminous sphere of pure light.
Seekway Innovations is responsible for the lighting products and dynamic effects production.
Hundreds of LED tubes emit uniform 360° glow, choreographed to enlarge or shrink, with colors and chroma shifting freely and slowly. It stretches outward, washing across walls, or contracts inward, crafting a futuristic yet primal immersive space.
Dimension: 6m high, 6m diameter Lighting Solution: 3D qTube
Ever wondered how to handle a 6-meter-high, 1.8-ton suspended LED sculpture in a high-profile museum? From overcoming structural constraints to achieving precise 3D animation synchronization, read our technical breakdown of the NMACC Art House project.
