3D Volumetric LED Display

What is a voxel?

A voxel, short for “Volume Element” (also known as volumetric pixel), is the smallest fundamental unit in three-dimensional space. Similar to how a pixel forms the basis of 2D images, a voxel possesses real X, Y, and Z coordinates, giving it actual volume and depth to create genuine three-dimensional visuals.

Pixel vs Voxel: What’s the Difference?

Pixel: A two-dimensional element that exists only on an X-Y plane, forming the flat images we see on regular screens and displays.
Voxel: A true three-dimensional unit arranged in an X-Y-Z matrix. While traditional 3D films and VR only simulate depth through visual tricks, voxels enable real volumetric displays that can be viewed naturally from any angle without glasses.

How Do Voxels Work in 3D Volumetric LED Displays?

In Seekway’s 3D LED Cube series of volumetric LED displays, each individually illuminated LED point functions as a precise voxel. Utilizing highly transparent materials, modular design, and patented high-resolution technology, our solutions achieve up to 80% transparency, stunning 360° light and shadow effects, and exceptional resolution and precision.

Whether built as cubes, custom shapes, or long-span structures, they deliver true floating 3D content in physical space. Powered by the Seekway 3D Player 3.0 software, the system supports advanced interactions such as motion sensing, sound control, AI interaction, and music visualization, creating powerful immersive experiences for audiences. This represents a real dimensional leap from traditional 2D displays to authentic 3D volumetric technology!
